Press
The
Pre Press facility at Bhabani is well equipped with high-end
equipments and very advanced workflow to meet up all needs in
the pre-press area and to ensure best results. As soon as a
job comes into pre-press department, our system operators go
through several cycles of verifications on quality of input
and feasibility of using data supplied by customers. If any
discrepancy is found, system operators immediately discuss
with the customer for instant solution.
Scanning is done on Apple Macintosh G-4 based high-end
flatbed scanner Cezenne Elite from Dainippon Screen and using
its own image sharpening software 'Colour Genious EX'. The
Heidelberg Colour Management Software comprised of Scan Open,
View Open, & Print Open is the further value addition to our
Pre-Press to maintain right celebration of the computer
monitors, proofing devices and for generating Press Profiles.
The Desktop Publishing Programs, commonly used for the files
created by our customers, include Adobe Page Maker, Quark Xpress,
Adobe In Design, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop,
Macromedia Free Hand and Corel Draw. Adobe Acrobat Distiller
is used to create a distilled PDF file and for further
processing. However, Post Script files are also being
processed for the Image Setter 'Katana' from Dainippon Screen.
It has the on-line processor and is functioned by Macintosh
based Harlequin Level 3 RIP for film output.
The
PDF file getting distilled with Adobe Acrobat Reader is being
processed for proofing with colour calibrated inkjet printer
for the approval from customers. Our proofer the Epson Stylus
Pro is running with Kodak Match Print Rip. The Rip works for
extensive Colour Management with its own colour profile
created obtaining the ink-zone data from the press itself.
Alternatively as soft proof, Acrobat PDF files are sent to the
customer’s end by e-mail to expedite the approval process. We
are archiving the digital files of all jobs in a Windows NT
Server to facilitate our customers for future use of their own
files getting changed, if any.
The Pre-Press of Bhabani is also equipped with Heidelberg Topsetter with online processor, the Computer to Plate
technology. Recently, Bhabani has commissioned one more CTP
Solution that is Suprasetter 74P, from Heidelberg again. The real magic of the technology lies in its
workflow solutions comprised of Signa Station, Meta Dimension,
Meta Shooter and above all, the Print Ready.
